hey haylzster I was planning on going to thailand first but changed my mind as have never been travelling before as alone have decided to do it after australia. When are you planning to go to melbourne? Planning on making my way up the east coast and getting the greyhound bus pass x
I'm hoping to be heading to Australia in March as well! I'm still undecided about whether or not to go through a work abroad program.. I was mainly looking at the ultimate oz plan, but after reading through some of these posts I'm sort of questioning whether it's worth the price. I'm just really nervous about doing it all on my own, considering this will be my first time ever living out of the country and I have never traveled alone! I haven't set up my visa or my flight yet, I'm just trying to solidify my plans. I was checking out brisbane, but it seems like a lot of the stuff is going on in sydney, so I figured it would be best to start there. Although, I'll be leaving winter here in the US and heading over to winter in AUS... not exactly the best choice haha. So I'm thinking i'll head for warmer weather, but who knows!
This is my first time going travelling, I was really nervous but i've found out so much infomation on here. Its helped me so much. I'm starting in melbourne as i been told thats the best place for work. hopefully do a couple of months there and then work my way up the east coast to Cains travelling.
For me i'm coming from England, so the winter in Oz will be a LOT better then i have right now lol.
Got my Visa and Flight booked, I arive in Sydney on the 1st of march. This is going to be my first time traveling, I plan on slowly moving up the east cost finding work along the way. I am absolutley terrified though! Never been anywere outside the UK alone!
hey adam, simular plans to me apart from i'm starting in melbourne. Nervous but really excited aswell, seems to be lots of people doing the same. can't wait for the experice to start now
Exciting, but still terrifying! I am mostly worried about finding work, I am planning on taking about £3000 (If i can sell my motorbike!) Not certain if its enough though.
Just hope I meet some people to go traveling with while I am out there!
I'm unsure on how much to take to I'm thinking around £6,000 scared of not finding work, but heard thats it pretty easy to find work for travellers.
I'm sure your find plenty of people to meet up with. If we cross paths be great to meet up
