I know this is a very subjective question, and that atmospheric conditions and the like can create truly stunning colors pretty much any- and everywhere, but of all the places everyone's been to, what's the one place that reliably puts on a show which just goes way above and beyond the ordinary?

Also, this being the travel photography forum, let's see some proof! :P (Okay, I admit, I'm just looking gather some ideas for where the next major trip will have to go to.) ;)

For me the answer would have to be "Lake Tekapo" in New Zealand. (See my gallery for proof.) High up on the McKenzie highcountry, with the clearest air around, and the Southern Alps near the horizon to keep the weather nice and unpredictable and as a result to throw up awesome cloudformations to filter and bend light in ever more stunning ways.

Hey man,
I just came back from Andalucia in Spain. Spent five days in Marbella, where on Sunday night I saw some of the most beaufiful dusk light and colours...
And here's my proof! See what you think:

or this one

I spent three months there and the light was never the same at any two moments. It's absolutely stunning

The colour of ice-bergs at night in the Antarctic is something i will always remember. They seemed to be this amazing blue colour and stood out so vividly. I will never know how them boys on the Titanic didn't spot them (assuming they are the same phenomenal colour in the northern hemisphere). Sadly, no photos. But the image will stay with me forever.
