Yes ate the plan... I don't know if this is too long or what..but wanted a long break.. I do want to do Aus/NZ but haven't budgeted for it but doesn't mean I cant/won't go..

That is what I am hoping to do, the independent tours with who ever I meet up with.. Im planning on going scuba diving out there a few times and pretty much up for anything and everything, adventure wise..

Thanks, and keep in touch.

Flight's booked guys :D I land in BKK on the 20th Feb, and leave on the 9th April, one of my friends is coming now so i won't be all alone, although it remains to be seen if this is better or not lol! Still no idea about the route we'll take, but i've started making my notes haha. Been advised not to take STA's insurance out, purely because it can be found elsewhere a lot cheaper. Same with transfers so i haven't booked those either. xxx

Heyy

So going to Thailand leaving from London and I should be arriving in BKK on 12th March. So far on my lonesome. Have never been to Thailand or travelling on my own.

I'm quite laid back so wasn't going to make any plans... But I am really scared for my first day and night... Also slightly worried being a lone female. Any suggestions where to stay... How to get there?

Also is anyone out there at that time and know where they are staying... or want to meet.

xxx

Hey charlie...

I arrived in bangkok 8 days ago and i am in Ko Phangan at the moment.. spent a few days in bangkok which is cool.. tip for taxi when you get to the airport is dont go with anyone who is in the airport.. you will get loads of people asking you to do tours/taxi etc.. go downstairs and to the taxi rank.. I got a taxi organised through this tour i did with ThaIntro so didnt have to worry to much about that.. but we went down and used the taxi rank

I am out here for 5 months and only organised my first week..

I stayed at a place called wild orchid villa.. as it was already part of the package i did I dont know cost.. but it was clean and only a few minutes from khao san road.. that is the place you want to be near.. loads of places to stay... some have free wifi.. all have computers (to pay)..

BKK is amazing.. but I dont think i oculd spend too long there in one go (in my opinion).. especially when we got out of the city and to the floating bungalows.. its not very sunny in bkk because of the pollution but still humid/hot..

What time are you arriving?? (and you Jamie)..

I have no set plans so far but think am staying around the islands for the next couple of weeks.. for the full moon party (did half moon last night - was quality)...

any questions let me know ... iv only been out here a week but il help where i can. xx

Charlienicole.

I land in Bangkok on March 16th, but as i have been Bangoko before i have a connecting flight with air asia straight to Krabi. Krabi is a good base if you want to see Phuket, phi phi isles and Koh samui.

What time to you land in Bangkok? if its before midnight you can jump on the skytrain from the airport straight into the city, which is loads cheaper, less hassle than the taxis and quicker.

Dont be nervous, bangkok is a brilliant place and is no worse than any other Uk city on a sat night! just comon sense getting around and you will be fine.

If you have any questions or want to tag along, give us a shout on here!
