Hi all..i am a 25 yr old female from Canada. I will be travelling to Thailand for 2 months in June-Aug on my own. I also plan to go to Cambodia and maybe vietnam as well. Wondering if anyone has the same idea, wants to travel together or meet up?
you can contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org as well
Happy travels to everyone!
I am doing the same thing solo but from arpil to beginning of june.
I guess its really easy to meet people over there doing the same thing.
Im hoping its pretty easy!
find a cheap guesthouse and most people there will be in the same boat. where you heading to from Bangkok? I think i`ll get the train down south near Ko Samui. Find my feet before heading back north into cambodia and vietnam.
i'm doing the same trip later on in the year. I'm 25 as well and, like you, hoping that there are going to be lots of other friendly travellers out there!
Hey. I'm planning on going to Thailand for the first time, alone, around mid-april, very scared, but want to do something with my gap year as have been working the whole time so far. I hope there are lots of other loners at the guesthouses I go to.
thailand isn't dangerous !
I actually went to Thailand last year for 2 months. I am going back in April of this year for another month, until late May. I love it there. I am going alone, at this point. Last year, I went with a friend who was born there, so it was quite easy for me. Unfortunately, this time is different.
If you need a travel partner or even any advice, contact me. I might be of some help. Otherwise, I hope you all have fun. And good luck!
Im leaving for Bangkok tomorrow- if anyone is about then drop me a personal message!
Just wanted to say... I went to Thailand for the first time 2 years ago and was FREAKED out about travelling on my own. What a laugh. You'll understand when you get there, it's the easiest place I've ever been. As long as you have vocal cords you will meet people and I don't think there was ever a moment I was even on my own.
Head to KSR in BK and start socializing, and have fun! Some of the people I met on that first trip are my really good friends now, and it gave me the courage to go to other places (Cambodia, Malaysia) which were not AS easy.
