Hi there,

I'm planning on going to Australia the end of next year (haven't got an exact date yet?!)

I saw this thread and thought it seemed like a good idea to post to see where i will be and if anyone else had a similar plan?!

Ok so a little about me.....My name is Allysa, hi :), i'm 30 years old and planning to go Australia the end of next year, I'm currently learning to drive to so i can drive out there. I am not the most out going of people but trying to mix it up a little in order to be alittle more so and this seems like a good idea!

My plans so far are to fly to Darwin, do a 25 day contiki coach tour from there downn to Alice Springs then to Cairns then all the way down the east coast to sydney. Stay in Sydney for a week then either drive, coach or fly to Melbourne, stay for at least a week then hoping to drive the ocean coast road (someone said it's a must!) to Adelaide, stay there for a few days then fly to Perth. Hoping to eventually get a house share in perth and a job and stay for 6 months maybe more....

I'd love to go with someone and get to know them too, i'm not bothered on age but preferrably from mid twenties onwards ideally (i can keep up with young'ins though :) ) Someone who is easy going, firendly, reliable and hopefully someone i could become great friends with and share the Oz Experince. Also if you drove would be a great bonus.

The above plans aren't set in stone and can change....

Hope to hear form someone soon

It is a long way to drive to, it will take a long time and probably cost you a lot in fuel.

I mean possibly from Melbourne to Adelaide along the ocean road? A few people have said to drive this part and obviously to be able drive around in Perth if i stay there to work.(if i got a car in perth?!)
