How long does it usually take you to settle back in after you return home from travelling ?

I never fully do. I arrived home on the 14th |Feb from a 1 year RTW trip and I have already booked the next one. Leave in 2 weeks...

as soon as I stop suffering from a jet lag - usually within a week everything is back to normal.

Home? Whats that?!

I'm one of those people that doesn't have any problems adpating/readapting to anywhere, so it's more or less instantaneous for me. Having said that, if i'm anywhere for longer than a week, i start getting really antsy and need to go somewhere again. I just can't cope with being ?settled? in any one place for long.

Wow , from where do you get the money for it? I'd have to save up for ages to go for a RTW trip. Last time it took over 6 months from me and now it seems that my next RTW trip will be next year in june or july.Lucky you!

I think that I can never settle back after travelling.Heh!

id love to be able to take off and travel the world - i dont understand how you guys do it!

no commitments at home? no mortgage or family commitments? what about finances? how does one manage to travel for 6 months or a year without working ? or do you work whilst travelling?

i salute you guys for being able to do it and would love to learn the tricks of the trade! hook me up guys!

All settles down within the next day. But the minute i wake up the following morning i get itchy feet again, and wanna just bugger off again.

Dunno how we manage it, but a great way is to volunteer then you don't have to pay for anything. (plus im a student, no commitments ;) ) This summer i'll be spending four months of backpacking, surveying, interpretatin etc in a national park in America with the SCA. They pay for everything. All you gotta do is a bit of research to find em.

I'm usually okay after I sleep off the jet lag. Emotional-wise, takes about a week, cuz I keep missing the feeling of being away and free from home.

I've been back "home" for four days now. This morning, I woke up knowing where I am. Instead of thinking ... "This is a big hut", and "Why did I leave the (room) door open when I went to sleep?"
