Have any of you travelled in a camper van? How does it compare to Hostels + greyhound?

What size would be a good one for 2 - 6"2+ brothers?

Is 10 Weeks too long to travel from sydney to cairns?

We have 13 weeks in Oz, is it worth going to NZ or TZ?

We hope to mix some nightlife + beaches + activites (zoos N'parks) scenery. Any suggestions?
Maybe a mix of Hostels +camper?

Tnx very much

You can drive from Sydney to Cairns comfortably in about 3 days. So depends on how much you want to party in each place? I would definitely do the south island of New Zealand. You can body board down the rapids.

Hi There,

As in relation to a campervan, I would strongly suggest that you contact one of the many campervan companies here in Australia. One you could try is http://www.bartrak.com.au/ who has very reasonable rates. If you are going to travel from Sydney to Cairns and explore the many attractions on the way, you and your travel companions should travel in comfort.

Going by campervan, gives you complete flexibility where you want to stop off. There are planty of Tourist Parks along the East Coast of Australia where you can stop off as you wish.

10 Weeks will give you plenty of time to travel thru New South Wales and stop off at places like The Blue Mountains Region, Hunter Valley, North Coast and especially Byron Bay (everybody seems to ge there). This will give you time to experience Australia and not just see it. I am sure that you will enjoy your time here!
