I am going to fly out of Buffalo later this summer to Orlando. As a Canadian citizen do I need to have a passport to fly within the US?

Wocca,

If you're not planning to stay more than 90 days you dont need to get a VISA

To fly internally within the United States, you will need to show a form of government issued picture ID (i.e. a driver's license or military card).

when crossing the border from Canada to USA, i always just bring my Driver's License and a crappy photocopy of my birth cert...just in case too i bring along my old old passport that expired like 3 yrs ago. they always ask about 3 questions and then let me go. probably helps that i am pretty darn innocent (looking). i hear that if you are from out of N. AM it is important to have a real live Passport though.

I can look blank, but not innocent ... so I'd better settle for the real live passport option

I am going to try to get more specific info but a lot has changed regarding entry into the US, even from a year ago. I have family that visits me almost every other year from Germany and most countries from the European Union never needed a VISA to enter the US but now there is some form of entry pass or an additional document that has to be processed in their country of origin. My cousins are coming to visit in May (they came in May of last year and didnt have this issue) and they mentioned something about having to get some paperwork to enter the country now.
Now, everyone that comes into the US gets fingerprinted and photographed too so be sure to say CHEERS to the immigration officer awaiting for you at the aiport :)

When I get back home, I will try to find out what has changed to enter the US for those countries that never needed VISAs in the past.

Hey Wocca, are you coming to visit the US?? You are going to have to visit me in Florida and isadora too!
