Hi Ellie,
hope you're okay! your itinerary sounds pretty much the same as what I was planning... have you booked your flights yet? i'm feeling the same as you in terms of travelling alone! i know that there'll be loads of people over there but it would be nice to meet up with someone along the way!
i haven't booked my flights yet although i was thinking of flyng out on the 4th july.
would definitely be up for meeting up seeing as we're travelling the same route!

Hi All,

My loose plan is

I land in BKK 3rd July, want to go across to Ratchanaburi for a day or so, then head either to cambodia to see angkor and a friend in phnom. Or head north to Chiang Mai and see a bit of Pai and make my way down through Laos to cambodia...I want to end up in the Gulf of thai for 3 weeks too to go full moon before I depart on the 21st Aug.

Let me know your plans

Thanks

Hi guys,

I'm considering a trip to Thailand and greater South-East Asia, starting from 1 August or thereabouts.

This would be my first visit to Thailand, and first visit to South-East Asia during the wet season, so I'm really interested to hear about interesting places to visit, and whether there are any other readers of this thread travelling at a similar time.
Having travelled solo a few times now, I know that I much prefer the company of others to share the experience with, so if you are welcoming of a travel buddy for South-East Asia during August 2012, it would be excellent to hear from you.

I'm very keen to visit some areas for good swimming, bushwalking/trekking, hitting a bit of bustle in the cities. I'm also quite partial to some pampering, so finding time for plenty of massages and detox/cleansing activities would be super too.

Cheers,
Dean
