Venezuela is a wild wonderful country as a culture and landscapes.
Is advertised as insecure, but the problem comes if someone is looking for.
I have been, in fact it seems safe but caracas is not especially after 10pm.

I was in Caracas in 2006 for my (now) father-in-laws wedding. We stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel, which is obviously very safe. We ventured out a few times and saw a lot of poverty, but at no time did I feel unsafe.
Bordered on the north by the ever-popular Caribbean Sea, Venezuela offers travellers the best of two worlds: beautiful sandy beaches along the warm blue waters of the Caribbean; and the stunning diversity of South America's inland. Indeed, if you care to venture beyond the beaches, Venezuela has a wealth of fantastic destinations.
