Link to subscription page doesn't work

Travel Forums System Talk Link to subscription page doesn't work

1. Posted by talismanic (Budding Member, 15 posts) 29 Jan '12 20:19

I want to alert my existing and potential new subscribers to my new blog and have given them all the link the travellerspoint system creates in the invitation email from the Spread the Word page.

I have just tested this subscribe link and the page cannot be found despite numerous attempts to reload the page.

Can someone help please ?

Alistair

Hmm, odd. I'll have a look to see if that link is wrong!

What is the link you are trying to send? The link included in the email seems to be right, although it has an extra full-stop at the end which could confuse the mail client.

The link you need to send your potential new subscribers though is this one: http://alistairinthailand3.travellerspoint.com/subscribe/

I'm going to remove that extra full stop now, because I think that's what messed it up for you. Let me know if that doesn't seem right.

I carefully removed the full stop at the end of
http://AlistairinThailand3.travellerspoint.com/subscribe
before sending it to my friends who are now emailing me to say the link doesn't work!

Quoting talismanic

I carefully removed the full stop at the end of
http://AlistairinThailand3.travellerspoint.com/subscribe
before sending it to my friends who are now emailing me to say the link doesn't work!

You've also removed the forward slash at the end there

This is the URL you want to send them:

http://alistairinthailand3.travellerspoint.com/subscribe/

It's fixed now also in the Spread the Word page, so you can use the link there as well.
