Hi there,

I'm going to be in Hong Kong in May and I wondered whether anybody had any good suggestions based on places they had stayed and enjoyed. Any help would be gratefully received.

Thanks,
Simon

mirador mansions - one block away from the infamous chunking mansions in Tshi Tsa Mui. Several guest houses - there is one on the 3rd floor called Lili GH. En suite rooms $HK130. Seriously small - but clean and peaceful.

There are many guesthouses in Mirador Mansion.

Thanks to you both for your suggestions.

BP International has all your needs, and is right on Kowloon Park plus about 10 minutes walk to the Harbour where you can catch the Star Ferry over to the mainland.

Be prepared to endure humidity, mass crowds and a stiff neck.
(from looking up at all the great buildings) :)

bruno - your links without any comment are not much of a use.

Even if you are assosiated with these hotels/guesthouses - try to be objective and present some opinions about each location.

I followed the above links, and they look very useful & relevant to me. The link names are fairly self-explanatory

Good for you, bruno if you are associated with The Salvation Army OR the HK railway services.
