Can I re enter in 70 days instead of 90 in Schengen area?

Hi everyone,

I have an urgent question if anybody can help!

I am a US citizen currently visiting my boyfriend in Barcelona and I want to extend my ticket so I can stay longer , but not over the 90 days, just 88.

The problem is I have a family vacation planned and I am returning to Europe via Amsterdam on June 2nd -- only 70 days in between. I have read that you have to wait at least 90 days to re enter, so the question/s are:

Should I risk it? Are they very strict on this? Has anybody had a similar experience?

Don't do it. You will be caught. As soon as you land in Amsterdam, they will check your passport and realise you only have two days left. They will probably send you on the next flight back home.
