Hi Haayley/Johnny
I am heading out towards the end of September and sort of have interest in what you are both doing, Haayley I am going out there specifically to adventure, learn to surf, meet people and work lol, and Johnny Perth is on my list of places to go, I was looking at starting in the East (melb) in September as its my first long distance and duration travel and its a great place to start (tons of backpackers places) and then heading West (I also really want to go Alice Springs for a week/month or so before heading back to the coast!)
I am all for meeting you guys out there or on the travel if you change your plans and fly out at a similar time.
And fyi I am 21, from England and although im not proud, I really want to poke a koala.
Let me knowwww x

Hey guys,
I'm travelling on my own too (25/f/London).
I'll be in Perth from the beginning of September 2012 for a month or so.
Will then probably spend some time in Melbourne and Tasmania before going to Sydney for NYE and surfing lessons! After that Great Barrier Reef and Adelaide.
Would be great to meet some of you out there, especially in Sydney.
Liz

Quoting Haayley
Hi I am also planning a working holiday to Oz in November and am going alone as my friends cant join me. I would love to meet some like minded people when I'm there. I just want to work, surf and generally jst have a good time!! I'm thinking about cronulla as its near a beach so can surf and also thinking about staying at the hostel there. Anyone who's like minded feel free to reply! :-)
Hey Haayley,
Ill be in Oz in September - am thinking Brizzy at the mo - but again thats not very concrete!! Do you have work lined up? Im hoping to do Regional to save some money and also qualify for the 2nd yr visa! Would like to be near to the beach too! I heard that Bowen near Airle beach is meant to be good for work that time of year.

Hi Kiara,
Ok I'll check it up :-) mine's not set in stone either.
Well I need to apply for my work visa and work wise I'm not entirely sure yet on when to start looking or where to look.
All I've looked up is Cronulla YHA as it seems suited to my needs.
I'm happy to be anywhere in Oz so long as I'm near a surf beach, hot weather and a relaxed atmosphere.

Hey everyone
I'm planning on travelling solo to australia in November but now possibly considering changing to end of September as really looking forward to it especially after reading about everyone else's plans! Going to check out flight prices tomoz then will get my visa sorted before i book my flight.
Am pretty nervous but guess that's the norm..was planning on going to Perth first then moving on from there but not sure how long is the norm to stay in each place? Also, most people tend to be travelling the east coast rather than the west.. is there any reason for this?? Really need some help not sure what I'm doing lol.
Any advice peeps?
Hayley xx

Hey Michelle!
I'm currently applying to the University of Queensland. I'm hoping to start my first Semester next Jan/Feb, and the University advise students to arrive at least 3 weeks before the Semester commences!
I'm planning on going November/December, and I'd love a travel buddy. Who knows, someone may be in the same position as me?
I'll be flying from London Heathrow - Singapore - Brisbane.

Would be amazing to get chatting with some of you beforehand, please feel free to send me a message!
