How about a fresh approach to an issue that's been popping up a bit lately ....

Are women generally more interested in a man's personality than his wallet or his looks?

personality for the long term,

first impressions - someone enjoying themselves whether its a bellowing laugh or engrossed in a book, someone who smiles :). though on a night out its eyes that attract me ..

That's a tough call, Wocca...

Personally, yes - personality outweighs both money and looks. But, that came about through age and experience. Generally, looks usually set the level of initial interest. Money... It's never been part of the equation for me.

For my part:
My b/f is 5'5" and has thighs smaller than mine (and I wear a size 4!). He made me a scrapbook for Valentine's because money was tight. He makes me feel like I'm the centre of the universe, and that - to me - is worth more than any wallet could ever hold.

Really, aren't people who area after money calculating it like this:

man + money = happiness

Why not just skip the messy middle part?

i think that money normally ends with tears, jealousy , misunderstandings - its a waste of time.

I agree. It's like a replacement for something. "If I have money, I will be happy/cured/beautiful/popular/etc."

I think it just brings on a whole new set of problems, once you realize the old set of problems aren't going anywhere.

I know so many relationships that broke down because of money, its just not worth it... yes it would be nice to have enough to travel but to be honest i would prefer to be self sufficient and not depend on handouts from my boyf',

also as for looks , well what you like today may not be there tomorrow, everyone ages, also as you get to know someone they can become more attractive to your eyes....

So the bottom line is that i need to spend my vast fortune and buy myself a personality if i want to get myself a bevvie of beauties?

ahh but would you buy the right personality ?

Sounds like a plan. I don't think anyone takes trade-ins though...
