Be my guest, Anne. Mi words es su words. (I don't know the Spanish word for "words" - sorry!)

Going a little off-topic but still relating to the therapy thing... Here was my take on the counseling process after the fact:

The Therapy of Friends

Did we truly believe we were learned enough to understand?
Or possibly blessed enough with honest intent to make a difference?
Learning self-love was a children’s game most of us
had forgotten how to play years ago,
and we fought, tooth and nail, against having to board the
"way-back" machine just to revisit the rules.

Therapy was suppose to help us clean out our cranial closets.
To view it as our toolbox to better living and achieve that final "fuck you",
showing the world, and each other, that we were whole or wholesome again.
Instead, we took pot-shots at each other failings, fell in or out of love, cried,
laughed, and continued to meet for coffee once a week.

Through all the bravado and bullshit - what did we finally find?
We found our weaknesses…
Our faults…
Ourselves…

And maybe a friend or two by accident.

And, don't settle for the next one in line just so you don't have to think about the last one. There will be no questions when the right guy apppears - if there are - it's not him. Being at peace with yourself will shine through you like a beacon through the fog. Someone worthy of you will take notice.

i love that as well! Thanks.

Have you ever got over the relationship, but then just fell back into ... wishing that you hadn't?

Have you ever got over the relationship, but then just fell back into ... wishing that you hadn't?

Isn't that one of those "On again, Off again" relationships?

Done that once and never again. Once it's over it's over for me. I tend not to go back.

The key to getting over a failed relationship is to remember that this loss is similar to bereavement. Often, after a break-up, we suffer the same key stages of bereavement including shock, denial, grief and anger.
