We're running a travel blogging competition over the next month or so and are inviting entries!

If you think your travel blog is the cat's pyjamas and want everyone to know about it, then we welcome you to join in.

We want to see entries following one of these three themes:

  1. Food;
  2. Off The Beaten Track;
  3. Winter.

How you interpret those is entirely up to you. But suffice to say, it needs to be engaging, well-written and ideally supported by some nice photography. Read more details about how to enter here: http://www.travellerspoint.com/guide/About:Writing_Competitions/Travel_Blogging/

We've got some very nice prizes for the winner, who will be picked by a panel of professional travel writers. So if you do manage to win this (or even get in the top 3), aside from the prizes, you deserve some serious kudos as well! Maybe that's what really matters to you.

It doesn't quite end there though. We're also supporting a great non-profit organization called Art in All of Us, who promote tolerance and cultural exchange in schools around the world, achieved through art and creativity activities. We've kicked it off with a private donation already, but we don't want to stop there.

For each of the first 100 blog entries that are submitted to our competition, we will donate another $5 to Art in All of Us. We want to reach our goal of over 100 entries and hope that this will provide the extra motivation you need.

If you have any questions about the competition, feel free to post them here. Looking forward to seeing some great content posted up over the next month!

Thank you to all who submitted an entry in the Travel Blogging Competition!

We were overwhelmed with the response to our first blogging competition and wish to thank you all for your participation. We thoroughly enjoyed spending the last month reading through all of the incredible entries!

We're also happy to report we easily reached our target of 100 entries and will be donating $570 to Art In All Of Us. Go team!!

A big thanks must also go to our judging panel who were faced with the unenviable task of selecting the winning entry...

--> Congratulations to Keith Ruffles, who won the competition with his entry Crossing the Border!

Check out the top blogs and Keith's winning entry on our blog.
