I will also be in South East Asia at the same time, It will be my first time travelling so really have no idea what to see and where to stay etc,
It would be great to hear other stories of people who have experienced this.
I will be arriving in sept and working my way through Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia and then back through Thailand heading further south (malaysia, indonesia)
I have though about going earlier when its less busy but it looks like rainy seasons for most of where I want to go so would it really be worht it?
RC2012 im pretty much going the same way through asia as you are, starting in Thailand, the Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos then back to Thailand. Travelling down through Thailand and onward to Singapore.
Would be good to hear how your trip goes!
Sounds awsome, when are you heading out there?
Im heading to India about Jan/Feb 2013 time and ill prob spend about 2 months there. From Mumbai ill fly to Bangkok.
Are You going anywhere else before or after Asia?
Also just noticed your from Bristol! Good on ya! lol
Bristol is the place to be! Nope straight to Bangkok but il probably be in SE Asia for atleast 6 months and then heading to Aus/NZ.
I cant wait just wish the next few months hurry up.
I'm glad to see this post has engendered more discussion about SE Asia travel!
I've decided to focus on one country for 3 weeks, and it will be Thailand. I'm now appealing to travelers to help me find the following:
1. Great diving
2. Incredible beaches with low tourist populations
4. Anything else not to be missed!
