Hello

Does anyone have any ideas on a travel Itinerary for 1 month on our way to emigrating to Australia. This will probably be our last traveiling adventure for a while.

Thanks

Laura

no more than 15 pounds/day/each - not including flights to kambodia (around 400 pounds).

even if you stay only 3 days in each place you would have to skip indonesia.

I would fly into BKK as it is the cheapest flight from the UK. Then you have to decide if it is beach & water that is primary focus or old civilizations. Then you must decide if you want to fly to OZ from BKK, Singapore, Bali or Jakarta. Once you decide that, you can plan accordingly. Do the BKK sights; Royal Palace, Wat Phra Kaeo, Wat Arun, etc. Do the Thai ruins, Sukothai, Korat area, then over to Angkor Wat in Cambodia by bus-truck, definitely an adventure. Then boat to Phnom Penh. Now either bus to Vietnam and tour VN or fly to BKK or Sing. If you want beaches, overnight bus to Phuket and Krabi area from BKK. Very nice beaches and diving, even after the Tsunami damage. Bus down to Sing. and fly to OZ. Or from PP fly to Sing. and travel to Indonesia, tour and fly to OZ from Jakarta or Bali. Hope this helps.

hi. in a month it might be a better idea to focus on one or, at most, two countries. for example it would be easy to see thailand and cambodia, or thailand and malaysia, from where you could fly onto australia easily. or just thailand as there is heaps to see and do. trying to squeeze too much into a month will tire you out! definitely fly into bangkok as its by far the cheapest, largest and most convenient gateway city in that part of asia. angkor wat would be a must see place after a couple of weeks in thailand and is accessible by plane or bus from bkk. have a good time in asia and good luck with the emigration to oz! i'm jealous. joe
