Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum, but hv been reading all the posting on UK WHMV. I intend to submit my application next month. Does anyone know whether having a Bank Loan (house) would affect the chances of application?

Hey tasha ,

Am not sure if bank loans hv the ability to bring up any serious troubles. I thought abt the same and asked that lady in the VFS office who said , itz completely abt my choice. But accordin' to my observation on this forum this far , I've not seen anybody sayin' "success" after acquirin' a bank loan. Itz better if ya consult a travel agency , maybe they are the best people to help ya out.

Bye ,

As far as I know all they want to see is the required money on a bank account. I doubt they take into consideration what loans you have. So, as long as you don't have ALL your money pumped into your loan, I wouldn't imagine it would be a problem. Let us know what you find out though!

Ok here comes the logical part. Everybody knows that a bank loan needs to be paid back in time and if ya are travellin' ON a bank loan then itz pretty easy for the consular officer to assert that ya'll start workin' there to pay it back which is a risky thought to give them and might lead to an interview which in my case won't be good until feb 2006. The closest match to a bank loan in this case is a personal loan usually with a high rate of interest. Takin' loans for education is fair enough but I think takin' loans for this visa and sayin' it so to those consular officer sharks is way too different and might prove fatal. In my case , I've decided to declare my mom and dad as my sponsors , show them their bank statements and maybe later I can apply for a personal loan. There won't be anybody else intervenin' in this matter after ya get the visa.

I still think a bank(personal) loan is not a viable choice , but again dun count on me , talk to travel agencies , maybe they'll throw some light on this.
