I think 3 days are not enough for tour. you have no more time to enjoy and see the real beauty of these places. you go there for minimum 1 week then you can fell the real happiness.

I definitely agree with the others... go to one or the other... three days is not enough in one alone!!

And Berlin has TONS to offer. I don't know if you are a museum person, but Berlin has some of the coolest museums in Europe. The NEW EUROPE free tour in Berlin and also in Munich are amazing! I sooo recommend taking it. They are geared towards younger crowds and are a great place to meet people, plus they are free! There is also one in London! I have done all three and they are all great. You learn so much that you would have never known if you just visited certain places by yourself :)

Munich is wonderful I am actually going back there this summer because I was only there two days last time (during Oktoberfest) so I didn;t get to see very much of the city.

If you are interested in Holocaust you could visit Dachau concentration camp which is right outside the city, you can get there on the S-Bahn. It's worth checking out if you are into that sort of thing.

Another touristy place in Munich is the Hofbrauhaus . If you like beer definitely stop by there for a meal and a MASS (litre beer).

I would totally argee that just 3 days for these two amazing cities is way not enough!

You already got a lot of infos about munich, but you absuletely may not miss Berlin!
Its a capital, and it feels like this. If you´re intrerested in culture and history, you will definately find millions of places to visit. But the other side (which is absolutely important, hehe) is the party- scene in Berlin! Nowhere elese in germany you can find as much incredible and crazy parties as in Berlin not just at the weekend :)

I know your question was limited to cities in Germany, but maybe you may concider going to Salzburg in Austria, since it's quite close to Munich. Salzburg is a very beautiful city with a rich history. But it really depends on what you want to see. If you prefer the night life, Berlin would be a good idea indeed, although it is quite far away from Munich...
