Hi. I`m a 24 year old male from Norway. Leaving for Guatemala on the 14 of march. Only two weeks left. :D:D:D:D:D:D
Are there anybody else out there travelling to Guatemala or any of the surrounding countries in the next couple of months? I`m staying in Guatemala for a month, maybe more, gonna study spanish. And then I`m open for suggestions of where to go. I have made no plans after my first month, eventhough Mexico seems interesting.
So if anyone have travelled the south of Mexico, Costa Rica, Belize, Cuba, etc, I`d be interested in knowing what you thought of it.
Hope to hear from you soon, and that we`ll meet somewhere along the way.

Take Care

-you remind me of a poem I can`t remember, and a song that may never have existed, in a place I don`t know if I`ve ever been to-

A few years ago I flew to Cancun, Mexico then flew to Havana, returned to Cancun and took buses thru the Yucatan and to Belize.
Cancun - Tourist trap. For good beaches and more reasonable lodgings go south towards Tulum
Havana - Great experience, not cheap. I stayed at a family home (casa particular) I loved it. People are very friendly but also many hustlers around. Flight is only about an hour from Cancun
Belize - I like it. They speak english. Caye Caulker is low key, get there from Belize city. You can also come to Belize via Guatemala, buses are crowded but I had no problems.
Yucatan - I was able to visit all the ruins. There are many hotels close, within walking distance and Ok prices.
