A few errors and things not working properly

Travel Forums System Talk A few errors and things not working properly

Hi there,

Several things (still) not working:

1. When posting sometimes it posts my answer but it gives an error anyway, with text in red box that there was an error

2. Using IE in the travelguide, when editing an article and just using the space to go down a few lines, it takes like 5-10 seconds. Is this way since the listing was added in the guide.

3. Regarding that listing: when wanting to put something in a list and than saving it, it saves it at the top of the article instead of where the original text was. I mentioned this before to Peter (like point 2) and he would check if Dmitri could check it.

Any news on this, as somehow I think some things are just not picked up anymore whatsoever while they are still a minor nuisance for people wanting to help or contribute.

Thanks anyone who is out there

Cheers
Michael.

Hey Michael,

With listing you mean the option to add event/sight information to the guides? It actually is saving the event at the very top of the article for you? I haven't had that myself, but guess it could be something IE is doing?!

The error while still posting is a bug that others have also had on ocassion and we haven't been able to figure out yet... erm, as soon as we figure out what's causing it, we'll be able to fix it ;)

Yep, it's in IE, but Peter couldn't figure out the problem exactly, so Dmitri should have a look. Like I said, a minor nuisance, but still worth solving..;)
Thanks!

That 5-10 second lag thing - I seem to remember we dealt with the same problem once before. Probably the same thing snuck back in with all the changes (and attempted fixes for the other IE problem). These problems are IE8 and lower, so upgrading to IE9 will also fix the problem from your side if at all possible :)
