I have travelled from Bangkok to phnom Penh via Siem Reap several times.

In the past I have caught the free bus from gate 5 at the International airport, got off at the first stop, which is a bus terminus and caught the bus to a market at the border, no problems.

Does this service still operate???

All internet searches are telling me I need to go to Mochit, at the very other end of the train line. Is this now the only way???

What is now the easiest way from Thailand to Poipet

Yes, that service is still there. There are about 5 buses a day. Not sure about the timetables. Buses are also leaving from the Ekkamai Bus terminal.

You can also take a taxi to the border for around 1600 baht. I have the phone number of a taxi driver, if interested you can contact me.
