Hi, I want to spend about 2 months in France, May-June. I am looking to go to either Marseille or Nice. I am looking for any advice for the cheapest way to go for accommodations. And am also looking for information about working while I am there.

Thanks

Hi

I guess cheapest accommodation is camping or hostels.
Search Google to find specific areas and accommodation : then search again to find what people think of your choice.

Working is more difficult for non EU citizens. There are student visas that allow limited work, but I don't know if you would fit the requirements. There is low paid "black" work available, especially in tourist areas. If you want to do it legally, you need to contact your local French consul.

Bonne chance

Peter

Hi,

Might be worth you having a look at this site if you are going to take the camping route - http://www.campingcheque.co.uk/en/. You can buy these camping vouchers so that you get a fixed costs but you will have to check availability etc. Also you might have problems using them in 'Peak' season but you might be OK. Although they are for two people and a hook-up you might find that they are still cheaper than peak prices.

The site is not too bad tho and does show you quite a few camp sites around the areas you mention and their names so you can look them up which might give you a starting point on where to stay.

Aside from that its down to 'Googling' around for some cheap hostels or other camp sites.
