pylon89 has indicated that this thread is about Amsterdam

Me and my friend are both 23 year old students from the UK. We are looking to work around Europe this summer but can't decide where.

We both have work experience but nothing major, working in a bar/resteraunt/cafe would be ideal.

At first we planned on going to Amsterdam to work there for a month. However I've been told work in Amsterdam is scarce and we only have a £1000 each to survive whilst we look for a job.

Would anyone recommend any places to visit in Europe that has decent opportunities for work?

Thanks

Summer work is difficult to find in the current economic climate, not just in Amsterdam.

Which languages do you speak?
The better your knowledge of the local language, the higher your chances of finding work. You'll be competing against local students who are also looking for a job for the summer.

Check out the Irish pubs in the bigger cities on the continent, contact them and ask.
What are you studying? Any chance you can contact companies within your study area for a paid work experience or a summer job?

Good luck.
