Thanks, but the question was "Which languages can you speak?" Excluding English.. So I decided not to write it down.

As opposed to the Babel Fish which speaks any language you want it to.

Speaking the language means that you can communicate with other people with the language.That's the deal isn't it? Then I heard that some people say that they can speak German if they know how to say "hi" in German and nothing more. Where does the line go?

French from Quebec,Canada (Dad's side) ...It's is not the same as French from france and American English ( mom's side ). A little spanish..( in the middle of learning)

But of course, if asked to translate, it only gives you the direct meaning of the words...so if a word has two meanings, the fish cannot comprehend. Poor fish. ;)

Canadian English & French, 9 years of French Immersion and the first conversation I had in french I couldn't understand them because they spoke so quickly and in slang. I got a lot better after that but I'm starting to lose it.
