Try: hostelbookers, hostelworld, trivago, hotels.com, lowcostholidays, travellerspoint, etc.

Often on accommodation you will only get upto about 30 days from such sites.

For six months, considering renting an apartment. It's a lot cheaper even than hostels, though they will usually want one or two months rent in advance as a deposit but you would usually get a kitchen which will mean that eating is cheaper and you'll have nice accommodation to yourself.

Thanks Cyberia

I have seen many sites for the hostels./hotels but didnot worked out . Can you suggest
some links where in I can get Accomodation in Apartments/Studio. Its ofcourse very cheaper than staying other types of available options. I have also tried on Sublet and other webportal but not yet positive reply.

Will appreciate your feedback

I tried:

apartment rentals oslo

and

apartment rentals bergen

and got lots of options.

Six months is considered short term rental and some will only rent for one year or more. The longer you rent, the less you pay per month.

You can take a look at http://www.finn.no
This is a catchall site for buying, selling, renting etc.
It is in Norwegian, but you don\t need a very large vocabulary.
Go to "Eiendom" (literally property, but rented accomodation included)

Choose "Bolig til leie" translates as "To be let".

Bolig til leie has three sub categories

"Til leie" - for rent , every kind of apartment, house or flat.

"Hybel og rom i bofellesskap" - means lodgings or room in a shared apartment. Shared apartment normally means that you have your own room, but share kitchen and sometimes bathroom with a few others.

If you click on "Hybel og rom i bofellesskap" you will find links to the different cities (byer) and counties (fylker) with the number of ads per entity in brackets.
Some areas, like Oslo, can be further specified.
Of course the ads are in Norwegian, but if you send an e-mail (send epost) you might get a reply.
Send the e-mail in english, most Norwegians know some english.
Of course you can call if there is a telephone number in the ad, but many avoid putting their number in such ads.
Please tell me if some further information would be useful.
