Hi!
Since August is supposed to be rainy season all over the Philippines it is hard to recommend the perfect place to go. You can always be lucky and get some days without rain. Especially the North is probably not the best thing to do during this time. It's not possible to make one proposition for the whole country since there are 4 different climate zones! I found some useful information on this website: http://www.travellingthephilippines.com/thephilippines/climate/
I was using this page a lot during my last travel around the Philippines. It really gives you a great insight on the country! Especially the pictures are amazing. Hope that helps you a bit!
Cheers

Thanks mike, adam, adventure guy, goon - these info are really helping me in planning. :)

There's so much to look out for Philippines, personally i'm very interested in siquijor island!

Anyway, do you guys know of any ferry you'd recommend? because going between visayas islands, cause seems to rely on boat transport because of the islands distances.

My friend have got a place in manila, so we might just visit that.... i'm also wondering how can i get to visayas region from manila?

You're welcome Cassandra.

I’m just curious why are you personally interested in the Siquijor Island? I knew a lot of Filipinos that will not even stay overnight on that island due to superstitious belief and said to be one of the mystical and magical islands in the Philippines… or I guess it just makes the trip more exciting? LOL.

Boat transportation for island hopping is easy and cheap. You have nothing to worry when you reach there.

You should consider to plan your trip in the Cebu area. Cebu in the central Visayas rarely sees any typhoon activity. There is plenty to see and do around Cebu.

I agree! Cebu has so many local attractions.. from beaches to mountains.. it all depends what adventure you go for..
and take note , it will not cost you a lot to tour around Cebu, just ask the locals and they'll be glad to help you.

Well, i thought the beaches are incredibly gorgeous! And these saying maybe an interesting point on the journey. I'll definitely be careful not to often anything though!

Where would you recommend we visit as well? Along the route of manila, mindoro, borocay and iloilo.

Great, may i also know roughly how much do the boat transport costs?

Thanks :)

Thank you adventureguy! but it doesn't sound too save overall, with all the prostitution, ruby boys and pimps....
but we're traveling in a group of 6 if that makes a difference :)

Hi there!
I agree to most of them saying that its not that really good to travel here in Philippines during those months..
Those months are the season where typhoons came in.. It would be very rainy here..
Its not that we dont want you to come here but we are just concern to you..
You might not be able to enjoy your stay with the weather.. :)

I beg to disagree. prostitution, rugby boys can be found anywhere not only in Cebu. Anywhere you go, you should be attentive with your valuables and be observant while enjoying the place at the same time. Cebu is such a big place and those bad people consists of a few people of the total population. lol do not generalize it ;)
