Hi all,

A group of my friends and I are going inter-railing in August around Europe. We aren't 100% sure of our destinations and we were wondering what people think of our ideas and if they have any helpful advice and information. We were thinking of starting in Bruges>Brussels>Strasbourg>Zurich>Milan>Venice>Rijeka>Ljubijana>Vienna>Krakow>Prague.

We where planning on getting the 10 day travel within 22 days ticket. Basically we where wondering if this was achievable? Also we put Rijeka in as we want to go to Croatia but we aren't sure where is best, basically want to go to a beach area with a night life but thats not essential!! We would love to go to Dubrovnik but we think its too far south ... any suggestions of places we should visit in Croatia????
Is there anywhere we should add in or leave out???

Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!

It's doable but take along some good books as you are going to spend a lot of time on trains.

Myself and two friends going Eastern Europe July. I like the sound of your plan, we thinking same places. I may run it past my friends.

We were thinking of getting the same 10 day travel within 22 days but after looking endlessly on net think might best just buy tickets at station. I think it might work out cheaper.

I waiting on mail back from friend about travelling if I get useful info I pass it on :)

You could consider Split.
It will of course mean more time on the train, Rijeka is more direct.
I visited split in the eighties - OK beach and nightlife by the standards then. Don't know how it is today.
Nice islands with less crowded beaches a ferry-ride from centre of town.
Diocletians palace is of course something very special.
