Hey peeps. I would be interested to get people's feedback on a trip I'm planning for me and my gf this summer to Brussels both on destnation and travel...

2 nights bed & breakfast hotel accommodation
Travel: Return standard class Eurostar travel from London St Pancras International or Ebbsfleet International to Brussels
I am set on Brussels as I think there will be something for both of us there. I have stayed in Hiltons in London before and they are a safe option.. I'm assuming the ones in Brussels will be the same?? Eurostar is better than flying for me as you can walk around and stuff... also easy travelling from St Pankys.
Can anyone offer any 'hidden gems' in Brussels that might not appear on the usual sites and travel guides? I would love to act like I know all the secret cool places that other tourists don't know about. 
Also any other general tips on travelling on Eurostar (how hard can it be it's just a train?) and in and around Brussels in general would be appreciated!
