I will be speding a few nights in Istanbul in mid Movember with my wife and infant son. We are looking for an apartment close to the tourist centre for about 4 nights. Ideally something that is clean and has a kitchenette (can be a studio apartment) & a western toilet. Looking for good vaue or someone that is negotiable.

Would really appreciate any suggestions!

Many thanks and best regards,

I was in Istanbul last Oct and used the service to find an apartment near the Galata Tower. Airbnb has a large number of units in Istanbul at all prices. Most of the units are not in the Old City, but I was located within walking distance of the Galata Bridge and trams to all parts of the city. For your information, the neighborhoods near the Galata Tower are called "Bereketzade" or "Müeyyedzade". I also recommend the "Cihangir" area. If you want to be in the tourist-heavy area, you want the "Sultanahmet" area. Istanbul is a huge city - pick a convenient location, or you could have problems.
