Anyone in S.E Asia end of august to mid september?

I'm only going to be there for a few weeks but flying solo and looking to find some people to hook up with as it's my first time in the area, and i'm bricking it! More specifically northern/central Thailand and obviously checking out Bangkok, possibly train to Chiang Mai, but i don't have a concrete plan yet and i'm still figuring it all out.. Any tips, anyone in the area around that time?

In case anyone was wondering, doing a pre-degree trip before i get pretty much bankrupted. I'm a londonder, going to uni to do social anthropology and development in late September. I've got an East Africa trip planned for a few years away but would love to do Thailand or thereabouts first. I'm 18, but well travelled and low maintenance :) This would be my first time solo backpacking, so it would be great to find some friends (female or male!) before i go.

Contact me if you fancy it or have any tips!

Hey Laurie. I might be interested in joining you- I'm off from about 12 August to early September. I'm 24 years old from the states but am currently living in Munich and working as a primary teacher. Thailand is one of my dream places to go, so send me a private message if you want to plan together!

Hi All,

I'm visiting Thailand arriving 25th August, Leaving 7th September - work full time, so don't have the annual leave to stay much longer :-(

Also travelling solo (for the first time), and looking for people to buddy up with/share itineraries etc.

I'm fairly open to suggestions for planning trips together.

Please feel free to PM me, and we can plan! :-)

Hey guys,

I'm planning a trip to Thailand between aug-sept-oct time and would love a buddy to go with! I would like to go for a month but even if somebody was going out for the first 2 weeks that would be good!

Lets Plan! :)

Hey everybody,

I'm planning to arrive in Bangkok in mid-august. Stay for a couple of days or so then probably head down to Phuket for a bit before traveling about to as much of the country as poss. I'm also going to be on my own and looking for buddies.

Andrew :)

Quoting balkngirl82

ps. also im not sure how to contact you guys on private!

Click on their name, which takes you to their profile. In the upper right of that page there's a big green button that says "Send Message", which sends a private message. When you get a private message, you'll be notified by email (by default, I think, though you can turn it off or on), and the white "My Messages" link in the very top blue bar of the screen will show the number of unread private messages you have.
