Hi, im looking at doing the same thing, taking a break and going for 6 weeks end of Jan/feb in 2013, also travelling alone, decided i need a long break from work! i want to maybe do 2 weeks in Thailand then onto Sydney from there and looking into some organised group things so i can meet people straight away, how is the Oz intro thing looking? does it seem a good idea?

i was gonna do the ozintro thing but by speaking to people on here.you can do most all the stuff they say easy by yaself and saving alot of money and plus you will meet people in the hostels.so im not gonna do that anymore.just gonna do it all my self and brave it.i can see it being diff for a girl though.

Hello!! I have just booked my flights, I am heading to Asia in Jan 2013 and will be landing in melbourne at the end of Feb 2013. So excited!! I am travelling on my own too (as part of an organised tour in Asia though) and I have heard a lot of people say you will meet others straight away, I was planning on booking a few nights in a hostel in Melbourne and hoping to meet people. Assuming most of us will be heading up the east coast! Anyone else going to be in melbourne about the same time?

hi! I'm thinking of heading to oz at the beginning of November and maybe doing the oz intro. my best friend did it earlier this year and found it really helpful just to get started as she was on her own. not sure as it is a lot of money for me! is anyone else heading out around that time?
