Hello i am heading to australia in 2 weeks for 2 months. I am just going up the east coast but i need to visit some relatives in melbourne and perth. I once heard about a 3 flight pass you can get can you still get this. as then i could fly from sydney to melbourne then melbourne to perth and then perth to sydney. If the passes are not around anymore can anyone suggest a way to do it?
any help would be great
Hey daisy-i' not sure about the passes-haven't heard of them personally, i was told by a travel agent about getting internal flights and apparantly these are about £40-apparantly this is the best way to travel the distances in Oz-well if you don't have much time and aren't too worried about expenses! Virgin blue are supposed to be good for this!
Hope this helps
for domestic australian flights virgin blue is a no-frills low-cost airline. there is also the qantas no-frills branch called jetstar but i am fairly sure that they dont fly to perth so that's probably not much good for u!
Log onto the Virgin Blue website between 1-2pm AEST. THey have happy hour fares then which can be quite cheap.
Jetstar is another option, but don't forget to check out Qantas as well. Sometimes their fares are just as cheap.
haha! happy hour-online-wow, never heard of that!
yeh i must say Quantas are coming up trumps a lot!
yeh you know you mentioned about the chaep fares online-depending on the time you look or book-i was looking at a flight it stated it was £730.30 and 30 mins later it's £739.70-what a damn cheek if you ask me!
Weird stuff-is this true for all online bookings does anyone know?
I'm not sure where you're coming from but Qantas had a great deal, CA$1399 to Oz 3 free flights within Oz, CA$150 for each extra local flight. Downside was you had to fly to and from Toronto. I'm sure they have something similar for the country you're coming from.
