It may seem odd to you but everyone's situation is different. My wording was perhaps misleading, we are travelling with our adult son who has a mental handicap so we are limited as to what we can do. We would certainly want to go whale watching and swimming - not at all worried about getting our feet wet!!
I'm sure the island has much to offer other than watersports, we would love to walk along the beaches, sample the food and just enjoy travelling around new places.
As we would be coming over from Vancouver airport I had looked for RV rentals in the Victoria area and could only find one which didn't suit our needs.
Thank you for your other suggestions, will have a look at Trip Advisor.
Here are a few places in Victoria that rent RVs if you haven't talked to them yet:
Island Adventure Rentals
RV for Rent
Victoria Beachcomber RV Rental
What type of activities are you looking for and I can probably suggest a few ideas.
If there's any chance that you could make it to Victoria I think you'd really enjoy it. It's a beautiful Island and it's touristy but still very fun. Great street performers and beautiful gardens and fun shops and what not.
Thank you to everyone who replied to my questions on here. Our plans are postponed due to family/illness but we hope to do the trip in the future.
