So I just got back from Victoria, BC and it was incredible. Extremely beautiful city, easy to navigate, several touristy things to do. Went with my boyfriend and it was the perfect getaway! Anyone know of any other cute, small, touristy towns that are very romantic and couple friendly? Anywhere in the world I'm always open to hear about ideas for the future!

I don't think you can beat Luang Prabang, Laos

If you want to be a romantic tourist place i want to suggest you the most beautiful and a good tourist destination and it is Manali. It is a good place for your romantic travels. It is located in Himachal pradesh India. If you want to know anything about it you may ask to me.

Did you manage to visit Tofino while you were on the island?

Depends on your idea of romantic really, but here are some smaller cities that I loved

Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island
Niagara Falls, Ontario
Banff, Alberta
Lake Louise, Alberta
Oliver, British Columbia (especially if you're into wine)
Tofino, British Columbia
Whistler, British Columbia

Venturing futher afield:

Edinburgh, Scotland
Portree, Scotland
Inverness, Scotland
York, England
Chester, England
Bath, England
Ljubljana, Slovenia
Bled, Slovenia
Florence, Italy
Venice, Italy
Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland
Vaduz, Leichtenstein
Cairns, Australia
Chiang Mai, Thailand
Ko Tao, Thailand
Luang Prabang, Laos
Dahab, Egypt
Las Vegas, Nevada (seriously - it's not all parties and debauchery!)
Koycegiz, Turkey
Swakopmund, Namibia
Stellenbosch, South Africa
Stone Town, Zanzibar, Tanzania
Mahebourg, Mauritius
Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

That should keep you busy for a couple of months at least :)

I visited Victoria with my gf last year, and loved it too. Another recent favorite of ours is Ronda, Spain. It's a town at the very edge of a highland plateau, with a gorgeous view down the cliffs. Amazing restaurants (we might've been really lucky, but everywhere we ate, the good was superb), and it's really easy to descend the cliffs and start hiking through the rolling hills of the landscape below you (quiet farmland, with olive tree orchards and small babbling brooks). For other activities, there's an old Roman town nearby, as well as an cave with some 30,000 years old cave paintings. It reportedly gets very touristy in summer, but if you visit in winter, temperatures are still great during the day, and it's much less crowded. (If you combine it with any other city, I'd recommend Sevilla.)

I visited Ghent, Belgium, recently with my partner and we thought it was absolutely lovely. Lots of fantastic restaurants, cafes and bars, and compact enough to cover on foot.
