I have a 15 hour overnight layover in Istabul (cheapest ticket I could find! haha) and I was wondering if anyone on here knew of any cheap hotels or anything near the airport where I might be able to crash for a night. I'd even be comfortable enough sleeping at the airport and then hanging out until my connecting flight. Does anyone know if the airport in Istanbul is relatively safe? Even if it is, is it just a better idea to book a bed to sleep in? I'm open to all sorts of opinions! I'd love some advice!
Hotels near to airport are generally expensive. But there are 2 airport in istanbul. If its, Ataturk airport and yesilkoy town are both really secure.
Need also information about what time you will land. so I can tell you if you can use metro station and need to book for a stay.
15 hours is long time so if its on morning, you can go to touristic places by metro.

I've used both IST and SAW, and was pleasantly surprised how modern and efficient they are
