Wondering what your experiences have been or what you would suggest for landing in Perth at 4:40am and getting to our hostel?
We havent booked the hostel yet but need to do this ASAP and one thing i'm worrying about now is the cost of taxi's or buses.
To get a taxi would costs $55 to Cottesloe or we could wait till 6:20am for the first shuttle bus which costs $15 each (there's two of us) but this doesnt go to our hostel unfortunately.
So if we could get the bus to the city i'm sure we could get another bus to Cottesloe (around 20mins from city) but then have no idea how much this would cost and if we are tired and jet lagged can we really be bothered with this?
We could book a different hostel so I've looked at hostels the shuttle bus goes directly too but these either have bad reviews or dont have a 24 hour reception so pointless.
So can anyone recommend a hostel that the shuttle bus runs too that has a 24 hour reception?
If you're going to pay $30 to get to the city and pay from there, it may not end up much more for a $55 taxi that you don't have to wait half an hour for in both places. You are going to be very tired when you get there and the chance of a shower and bed will be well worth the extra.
This one is close to the East Perth Greyhound Stop so maybe OK for a bus.
which has 24 hour reception. Whichever you pick, inform them of your approximate arrival time and airplane code.
Hostelbookers has a good selection of hostels
Thanks for the tip.
I was a bit put off by Northbridge at first just from the reviews of it being a party location and really noisy at night. However after thought I dont think this would bother us much as im sure we'll be too tired to care and can always take ear plugs!
We also wanted a private room at first so as not to disturb other guests and not get woken by them in the morning but I suppose that wont matter too much either?
What do other people tend to do?
