What is the oldest pub/bar anyone has ever been to??
There is one in Nottingham, UK, called Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem that is about 830 years old i think. If anybody is ever visiting it is worth popping in. I went there about 8 years ago and i'm assuming it hasn't fallen down in that time

I love the old pubs, we have a pub in Beverley East Yorkshire that's pretty old it says 1666. Hahahaha just found it has a website.

It's brilliant! Very comfortable, a favourite haunt for us students and old men. Although they took away the jukeboxes........could be trying to get rid of us.

But MY local is right next to my local brewery "Sheaperd Neame Brewery.

Being a North American, I can't really compete with any of those. I think the bar around the corner from me has been open for 15 years now, which is really an accomplishment in Toronto. Usually restaurants fail pretty quickly here.

I had lunch at the Oldupai Gorge in Tanzania, where bones from human ancestors were found dating back millions of years. Does that count for anything?

Were they on the menu?

And there's me thinking a plane, train or boat are the only things to bring you back to blighty

Ashamed to admit i've no idea in the slightest what teh oldest bar i've drunk in is. I've been in many very old ones, but how old, i've no idea. There's one in Kilburn which if memory serves claimed to be the oldest in the Uk, but as it was closed, that doesnt help. Closed pubs are high on my list of pet hates...
