don't wish anybody to be in that situation - so the best is to organise the working visa beforehand

Is it wise to speak publicly about illegal activities you've been involved with, whilst still in that country?

there are plenty of illegal emmigrants, hundreds of thousands without valid visas and without work permits, as well as a lot of brits working on the black market and claming social benefits at this same time.

nobody would ever bother about the former-illegals.

the UK needs a lot of (possibly cheap) workforce to run the economy

no, they simply don't bother about the small things - and would act only when they have to (like a tip off/complain from the public).
