Hi! My name is Laura, and I'm looking to start my travels next year after I've saved up some cash. :) I'm looking to either visit America (west coast or mid-states, as I've already seen some of the east coast), or Asia. Originally I had planned to travel through an organization called Real Gap, but I've heard from friends that there are cheaper ways to get about.

So far I will be traveling alone. I joined up here to see how people go about getting out there and experiencing things, and ask for any advice from anyone who has this experience. It's quite daunting sometimes but it'll be well worth it! As of now I just want to travel for the adventure side of things and absorb some culture and new sights and to meet new people.

Thanks!

Hello.

America is expensive. Parts of Asia are cheap and other parts ain't.

Do check weather if Asia because it has a definite monsoon, rainy season but when it's very cold at home it can be nice and hot there.
