Hey hey, it's been a while since I've posted here, life has been nutty... maybe one day I can tell my story.
Anyhoo, I'm renting a car and driving down from Philly to the Outer Banks next week, I'll be there for the fourth of July and a few days before. Is there anything there that I should absolutely should not miss? I'll be going east of the Chesapeake Bay, are there any good places to stop and eat along the way?
Also, I'm eye-ing up Montreal for 4 days after I the outer banks. Just wondering a good part of town to stay in and what the "must-sees" are?
Hello Cool Paul,
In Montreal you can stay downtown with privates from 25$. Have a look on HostelWorld.
For activities, my list would be:
Saint Joseph's Oratory at sunset
Parc du Mont-Royal.
The Plateau — Trendy area north of downtown. Good for dinning
Old Montreal — The historic part
Biodome and Olympic Stadium visit
Thanks for the info on montreal. It looks like I'm going to have to wait. I made a few doctors and dentists appointments for my second week off instead.
I went to the outerbanks, it was alright. I saw the wright brothers museum, did some hang gliding, went to a few beaches, ate at a lot of terrible restaurants, and a couple decent ones... it was ok.
