I've been researching for an upcoming trip to Europe and found various blogs at Travellerspoint. Liked what I've read so far and decided to join. My partner and I are off to Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, and Italy on August 10th through September 11th. Just wanted to say hello for now and will post questions if I am unable to find enough information on the countries we will be visiting.
Till next time,
Be aware that August is the most busy and most expensive time of the year, with the kids off school. Accommodation may be difficult to find or expensive if booked late.
Don't try to do too much in too short a period of time.
Thanks Cyberia- the trip is based around a work schedule and meeting s in various cities/ towns so we have to take what we can get since one plane ticket and some accommodations are paid for by the company my partner works for. We have tacked on an extra 2 weeks for our own personal travel time. I have already made the reservations for Rome part and will use Rome as our base to explore on day trips using public transit. I'll post our itinerary next week so I can get some feedback. I keep reading how hot it can be there but where we live in Texas is mostly hot year round except for a few months of the year.
