WORST: Gonggar Airport, Lhasa Tibet
The airport itself is okay, it's just the location that sucks. The airport is 96kms from Lhasa, which is 3,650 metres above sea level. Not too pleasant for altitude sickness. Add to this, the wind & dust.
When I flew out of Gonggar, it was the first time I've fallen asleep whilst a plane was ascending.
singapore's changi is the best.
kuala lumpur is catching up, never been to hong kong's new airport, but i heard it's one of the best too.
Tirana, Albania - they have duty free, but you can only look at it! I only wanted a chocolate bar! x
so what does everyone think of heathrow?
im there on wednesday and have to get from terminal 3 to terminal 1 in an hour or so. didnt think much of it untill someone whos been there started laughing when i told them! ahhh!
i managed in about an hour and a quarter last may, my flight from LA to heathrow was four hours late so my next flight to edinburgh was a mad rush. i got them to check my bags so they went straight to edinburgh but they did lose them! I made my flight but it was a rush. Good luck!! also depends on customs if you have to go through security or if it's a connecting flight?
i think i have to go through customs, coming from thailand going to ireland, really not sure! hehehe. its gunna be fun hey?!!!
oh dear so is that an hour from landing to take off? coz that sounds like a bit of a mission?
o god, this isnt reassuring at all!
ok, so i havent actually been there yet but im thinking heathrow gets my vote for worst airport! hahahahha.
whats the worst that could happen? (rhetorical, please dont answer!)
haha, well im off to thailand tomorrow, bed time for me, i'll let you guys no how the big transfer went when im safe in ireland!! (please god!)
