Travel buddies from September onwards

Hey guys,

I've been living in Melbourne for a few months now, and soon the time at my lovely job will be coming to an end due to visa requirements. Which means i'm freeeee to travel around and see everything that is not Melbourne until I leave in January. I'm dying to drive up the East Coast, go to Brisbane, Sydney and Cairns to go scuba diving at the Great Barrier Reef. Unfortunately I do not drive so I was thinking of getting the greyhound jump on/off bus pass thing. But the experience would be so much better if there were any other travellers out there looking to do the same/a similar thing.

I'll be starting around September, but its flexible really, thats just when I have to leave my job. If anyone is looking for someone to travel around with, or if you have a spare seat in your car and could use the extra petrol money then please respond, i'd love to meet more travellers and make more friends

Also any advice from anyone who's used the greyhound buses to travel Oz would be great!

Better fly straight to Cairns come September, and make your way down the coast. The wet season will be starting in December for northern Australia (everything Brisbane and north), so ending up in the north in January would not be the most pleasant experience, and visibility for scuba diving would be severely limited due to the effects of the rain.
