I am very blessed :) as my children are older and it is much easier to travel with them now. When they were young it was a trip onto its self just packing! Does anyone want to share any tips for travelling with children? Just to get us started...
-Pack plenty of snacks. Kids get hungry at the oddest times.
-Babywipes or a washcloth in a baggie (for after the snacks;)
-A favorite book or toy to keep them occupied.
-For the ones a bit older a CD player and CD's
-For really long trips a personal DVD player is worth its weight in gold

1) Children's strength Nyquil - so they sleep through the whole flight
2) Rope - to tie their feet together, stopping them from kicking my seat
3) Headphones for the portable CD/DVD player - there's only so many times one is willing to listen to the "Dora the Explorer" theme on a 5 hr flight
4) Plan trips within driving distance until they reach 18
5) Parents who will keep their kids from jumping in the seats/running up and down the aisles screaming

Sorry, last few flights we have taken were trying with repsect to children. Kids are gong to be kids. Just needed to vent...

I wouldn't put up with that from my own children, so I certainly wouldn't put up with it from someone elses kids...I wanted to knock the block off the child in front of me on my last flight to AZ..it was only a 3 1/2 hour flight, but this kid kept putting his seat all the way back..then forward (while I was writing on my tray table) and whinning, and crying..he looked about 7-8..and his mother kept saying "now now, there will be none of that" and 2 minutes later he would start up again. Sometimes I don't know weather I want to smack the child OR the parent:)
Thank you for allowing me to vent too!

At least you don't have to pay them when they are under 3

Well most of the air carriers here now require that ALL children must be in a child safety seat...so you have to pay for the seat..usually you get it for at least half price, but not always:(

Drop them in day care on the way to the airport...
