No one can give any opinion on which airline when you give no clue whatsoever where you are flying from.

I'll guess at somewhere in Europe, right? I am a very picky customer when it comes to airlines - I fly to SE Asia from the States, and will now only use Asiana Airlines of Korea. From Europe they fly from London, Paris, Frankfurt and Istanbul - all flights go though Seoul, where you would transfer for their Sydney flight. It's my belief that Asiana has the very best economy class - roomy B772 equipment, very comfortable, excellent/friendly service. Don't just take my word for it, here are the reviews.
The only real problem with this airline is it's website - looks nice, but difficult to use. I book my flights on the third party sites such as Expedia or Orbitz. If you need the slightest help or to reserve a specific seat (after booking), just call their phone number in your country - they always say "yes" to all of my requests (how many airlines do that?)
You will be pleased with this airline - I can guarantee that much!

Great info, Daawgon. You're right about the website though, it is a bit of a dog's breakfast...
Cheers,
