Hi guys

I am thinking of travelling to Tuscany for a week at the end of july/start of august with my boyfriend. We are looking to stay in an area which doesnt require us to have a car but will allow us to travel to other towns by train for daytrips. We would like somewhere which has access to a good selection of restaurants and things to do in the evening.

I have been looking at apartments mainly in Pisa but it is a little difficult to decide because everywhere in Tuscany appears so nice! I would like to know if people have any recommendations on which towns or cities offer the most and any accommodation recommendations. We are looking at mid-range budget.

I would appreciate any advice.

Thanks guys!

I would have picked Florence because it is central and from there you can travel by bus and train to Pisa and many other towns in Tuscany and out of the area.

For accommodation, check out hostelbookers:

Despite it's name it has some good hotels at budget prices. Obviously location is important to you so check where the hotel is located, and nearby public transport.
