Hi everyone,

I'm off to England this Wednesday - unfortunately to go to a funeral.

I'll arrive Manchester airport early in the morning and would like to spend a few hours in Manchester before heading for Ilkley - probably by coach, seems this is a LOT cheaper than the train.

Does anyone have any idea if there's a possibility of leaving luggage either at the train station (suppose it's Piccadilly if I arrive from the airport??) or at the coach station (will this be Chorlton for the coaches to Bradford??).

Also does anyone know a good place to have a full English breakfast?

cheers

Sole

Manchester Piccadilly has a left luggage facility.

Try this link for more info.

The buses are generally a lot cheaper than the trains here.

I don't have a clue about Manchester coach stations so can't help you there.

Dave,

Thanks a lot, so at least I know I can get rid of my luggage at the station.

Yes, coaches are a lot cheaper than trains on the long stretches, less than half price as I found out.

Checked on Natioal Express again and it seems that Chorlton is the station closest to Piccadilly, so will probably use that one.

Thanks again for a very quick reply.

very best regards
